I am passionate about my role as a Founder and Clinical Director to foster a collaborative community of learning, focusing on discovering, developing, and drawing out the hidden talents of our students.
Welcome to IAMSS, an educational and therapeutic institution committed to providing a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children can reach their full potential. At I AM SMART S-COOL, our ABA Therapy department focuses on a therapeutic approach designed to meet the unique needs of each child. Through evidence-based practices, we provide intensive support to foster development in key areas such as communication, social skills, and behavior.
Meanwhile, our Ontario private elementary school functions as a progressive mainstream educational setting and welcomes students with a variety of exceptionalities. Our approach goes beyond the standard Ontario curriculum when needed, ensuring that each child is challenged to reach their full academic potential. We extend learning opportunities beyond grade-level expectations, focusing on depth of understanding, critical thinking, and innovative problem-solving.
Recognizing that every child is unique, my dedicated team of teachers and ABA therapists provide individualized attention, mentorship, and support. We celebrate successes and help students overcome challenges through evidence-based practices.
Our program integrates a modified Ontario curriculum with direct instruction and an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) for each child. The ILP is created based on comprehensive assessments, parent input, and contributions from our therapy team. These plans align with Ontario Curriculum Standards, but are also designed to transcend them, offering students the opportunity to advance beyond grade-level expectations when appropriate. Each ILP is regularly reviewed and updated to ensure continued development and achievement.
